Fly Spray

Days 7 & 8 at Ranch Kildare.

Time to scoop...

Two words: Fly spray.

Lots of time in the barn and pen means lots of manure and lots of flies. So we broke out the fly spray and the zebus got wiped and sprayed to help keep the pests away.

After a week of wrangling cows and a lot of barn and pasture prep work before that, my cowgirl muscles were sore. On top of that, Delaney hurt her wrist, so... we called in reinforcements.

Sasha led Leah and it looks like the start of a beautiful friendship. Leah cooperated from the start, making Sasha very happy. Henry worked with Jacob, who is turning out to be a big sweetheart. Jake is still resisting a bit and pulling, but mostly he walks along and will even nuzzle on your leg when he stops beside you.

Though her sore wrist kept Delaney from leading Rachel, they still had some quality time. And Jack got in on the action, too. The cows are getting used to him being around (and not being a threat) and will let him approach and pet them.
